Phasing out of Dental Amalgam in Dental Institutions

Children’s Environmental Health Foundation-CEHF is currently in Lusaka conducting stakeholder meetings with Zambia Environmental Management Agency(ZEMA), Zambia Compuksory Standards Ministry of Water Developtment, Sanitation and Environmental Protection.
These meetings are for the sole purpose of spearheading a statutory framework around the use of lead in paint and phasing out of dental amalgam in dental institutions with the aforementioned organizations in our quest to promote a healthy and environmentally friendly nation

Survey of Super Market

We reached out to Choppies in Livingsone and we were pleased to see that they stock lightbulbs that do not contain any mercury. In the first week of September 2021, our team conducted a lightbulb survey in Livingstone to analyze and evaluate the type of light bulbs that were being sold in some supermarkets in Livingstone.
